On Thursday evening , June 24th, District 7010 had a memorable cocktail hour, formal dinner and changeover celebration in Peterborough, Ontario at the Best Western Otonabee Inn. The evening was hosted by the Rotary Club of Peterborough-Kawartha with the meeting presided over by President Ash Kaushik. PDG Tom Bennett was Master of Ceremonies. District Governor
Richard Levert of the Rotary Club of Sudbury spoke about the District's many successes in 2009-2010 receiving from all those in attendance a standing ovation. Then incoming Governor, Dawn Straka was introduced by Kim Winter, a fellow Rotarian and Chair of the 2010 District 7010 Conference. DGE Dawn spoke enthusiastically about the many opportunities that lay ahead in the next 12 months and some of her goals. At the end of the evening DG Richard and DGE Dawn exchanged pins for the forthcoming year. DGE Dawn also gave DGN(D) John Gordon and DGE Bob Neibert their DGN and DGE pins and wished both of them well as they too take on more District responsibility.
